A fun fact about the two of us is that we’ve done adults-only Disney trips waaaaay more than we’ve visited the parks with children. Review: Citricos at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

It’s no secret that Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is my nostalgic favorite resort on property, and I love getting a chance to visit whenever I have a chance. When Amy and I traveled to the World in November, we got into Orlando early enough to enjoy some resort hoping and dining. We chose to head over to the Grand Floridian to check out the (new to us) redesign of Citricos, which got a menu and theme revamp in 2021.

Jollywood Nights Recap

On November 11, Amy and I had the delight of attending the first ever Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Expectations were HIGH around this event, as it promised a swanky and stylish evening celebrating old Hollywood Glamour. Going into the event our top two priorities were to attend the Twilight Soiree at the Tower of Terror’s Tip Top Club, as well as see the new Holiday Production at Disney’s Theater of Stars featuring Kermit and Miss Piggy. Other than that, we were just excited to get into the Christmas Spirit at Disney World! On with the show!

A Tribute to the Grand Floridian

It was all started with a sponge. Or I should say, sponges. In May of 1991 my papou had plans to travel to Boca Raton in order to attend a trade show where he would display sponges from his business. Realizing the proximity to Walt Disney World, he suggested to my mom that we turn what was originally going to be a work trip into a family vacation. One Birnbaum’s Disney book and a reservation at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa later, and a tradition was born.
