D23 Recap
By now we’re sure you’ve read copious amounts of coverage regarding all of the announcements from this past weekend’s D23 event. However we wanted to take a quick moment to share which revelations we’re most looking forward to.
5. Indy’s Back
It’s a well-known fact that Indiana Jones is at his best while fighting Nazi’s. Now, we haven’t gotten to see the D23 exclusive trailer yet to see if that will be the case for Indiana Jones 5, however anything that involves an emotional Harrison Ford and the iconic Phoebe Waller-Bridge is bound to get us into the theaters.
4. Fully restored A Muppet Christmas Carol on Disney+
If your childhood was anything like mine, you had a stack of VHS tapes featuring a variety of things you recorded off of the television. For many years my only copy of the best adaptation of this classic story featured a long lost song: “The Love is Gone.” Imagine my surprise upon viewing this film as an adult when my favorite song in the film wasn’t there! And so began many years of me pausing the movie to pull the song up on Youtube to watch before continuing on with the story. However, thanks to the discovery of some lost negatives, we once again will be able to view the film the way God (and Brian Henson) intended.
3. Disenchanted
Amy Adams + Maya Rudolph + Idina Menzel + James Marsden = PURE JOY.
2. Blue Sky Proposal for Beyond Thunder Mountain
Now, we aren’t stupid. We know that any and all of the logistics regarding this plan are…tenuous at best. However we would absolutely adore seeing Coco and Encanto have a larger presence in the parks. We also think a Villains lair would be a feat of imagineering that made us fall in love with the park to begin with. Maybe our dreams will come true in 2030?
1.Happily Ever After Returns
There’s not much to say here except for all the happy crying tear emoji faces that the world has to offer. Enchantment, it’s been real, but let’s make that story come alive again by reaching out and grabbing our happily ever afters!!
