The Perfect Disney Snow Day

Although the cold doesn’t bother Elsa, we can’t always say the same for ourselves. Living in the Midwest we are no strangers to winter weather, and we like to think we have figured out how to maximize both fun and relaxation when we get that snow day call.

Upon waking up to find the ground has been covered with a blanket of white, immediately put on your coziest jammies (we would suggest a giant Mickey sweatshirt) and head to the kitchen. Get out your Mickey waffle maker and treat yourself to the breakfast you deserve.

Then it’s time to ask your family/roommates/dog if they want to build a snowman! Head outside and create a snowman to rival Olaf. Just make sure you don’t forget to give him a warm hug!

Once you’ve reached your fill of outside fun, head back inside and warm yourself up with a mug of hot cocoa. We LOVE this Coco-themed cocoa from one of our favorite small businesses Expedition Roasters. Turn on any of the incredible offerings on Disney+ and get cozy. Looking for suggestions? For TV shows we can’t get enough of Wandavision, and for movies we are so excited the 1997 Cinderella has made it’s way to the streaming service.

If you’re looking for a more intellectual way to pass the time, might we suggest revisiting some of your favorite stories with Disney’s Twisted Tales series? This series takes the stories you grew up with and completely turns them upside down. Choose one to your liking and curl up in front of the fire.

As the day comes to a close, cook a meal from the Disney Eats cookbook. Choose from incredible appetizers, entrees, and desserts from all of your favorite Disney resorts and parks.

Your snow day is almost finished, however before you head to sleep treat yourself to a filming of the Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After fireworks show. No matter what work or school have in store for you the following day, it is sure to bring you joy as you face the morning to come.
