50th Anniversary: Ranking Walt Disney World Snacks
Let’s be honest. One of our favorite things about going to Walt Disney World are the snacks. Who among us hasn’t packed their suitcases full of rice krispy treats to take home to keep the magic alive once you’ve left? In honor of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary our are top 10 Disney Snacks
10. Mickey Pretzel
Yes, this might seem a bit low on the list, but ultimately, while delicious, it is just a very good theme park pretzel. However there is something special about the middle portion where Mickey’s features all come together. However the new wrapping for the 50th Anniversary might make this a must-get for our next trip!
9. Mickey Cake Pop
This is an underrated sweet treat that can be found both at Big Top Treats and at the Prairie Outpost and Supply in Frontierland. I don’t know what I love better--the moist cake Mickey head, or the marshmallow ears? I could easily eat five of them in one sitting.
8. Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich at L’Artisan des Glaces
This is a fantastic option for any of our gluten free friends like Megan out there; delicious ice cream in between a giant macaron? Oui, oui!
7. Woody’s Lunch Box Tart from Woody’s Lunch Box
These homemade poptarts brighten up any breakfast, however they are a great snack any time of day at the parks! We even found a way to make them at home, which we’ll be sharing soon!
6. Gluten Free Churros from Nomad Lounge
The Nomad Lounge is truly our favorite hidden gem at Animal Kingdom. Go for the gluten free churros, and stay for the air conditioning and the sangria. A true oasis amid theme park madness.
5. Mickey Premium Bar
Is there anything more iconic than a Mickey-shaped ice cream treat? The perfect chocolate casing (like seriously, how do they get the thickness juuuusssst right?) surrounding a perfectly creamy vanilla ice cream. It’s so delicious, you’ll be able to eat it before it melts!
4. Beignets from Port Orleans French Quarter
One of our favorite aspects of staying at Port Orleans French Quarter is the beignet blessings that you can enjoy during your stay. Although the normal ones are Mickey shaped, you can also get them gluten free! If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also get them infused with various liquors to really bring that Mardi Gras vibe to your Walt Disney World
3. Caramel Popcorn from Karamel Kuche
We first heard about this treat from our favorite theme park reporter Carlye Wisel, and since then it’s become a staple of any trip for us. The aroma that hits you when you step foot into Karamel Kuche is almost as good as the popcorn itself…almost.
2. Dole Whip
The Dole Whip has become one of the most iconic snacks associated with Disney. The combination of tart and sweet flavors do wonders to cool you down on a hot day. We also love the varieties that sometimes pop up to celebrate new movies or experiences in the parks!
1.Mickey Rice Krispie Treat
Is there anything better than ending your day on Main Street USA, rice krispy treat in hand, watching the fireworks? We think not. There’s a reason we pack at least 5-6 krispies in our carry on anytime we have to leave our favorite place; we find it’s the best (and most delicious way) to keep the magic alive once we’ve returned home.
