Top Disney Parks TV Episodes
In the early 90s it was a rite of passage for an ABC show to feature an episode where the characters visited Walt Disney World. During the early 2000s this trend disappeared, only to reemerge in the last five years. Because you can’t currently visit the parks, we’ve gathered together some of our favorite Disney Parks episodes for you to enjoy during your social isolation once you’ve finished reading a book or maybe two or three. In no particular order (although the Full House episodes are clearly the best) the Disney Parks episodes include:
Full House
Season 6, Episodes 23 and 24
Hulu
The Tanners head down to Walt Disney World when Uncle Jesse has the chance to perform at the Magic Kingdom. While visiting the Magic Kingdom Michelle gets named “Princess for the Day,” though she has a lot to learn about what it means to be a true princess. DJ finds herself missing Steve, though she seems to see him everywhere, from the Indiana Jones show to an Aladdin show (a great Easter egg since Steve Weinger is the voice of Aladdin). Becky and Jesse struggle to find time to celebrate their anniversary among the family shenanigans, and Danny plans a special surprise for Vicky during the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. These episodes are the perfect trip down memory lane for anyone who visited the parks in the early 1990s!
Modern Family

One of the only Disneyland episodes of the group features the Dunphy clan spending a day in the happiest place on earth. Phil is pumped to ride roller coasters with Luke, though he fears he is getting too old for such fun when his stomach can’t handle the rides like it used to. Haley runs into her ex-boyfriend Dylan, who is currently working in the parks as a Dapper Dan. Gloria is forced to adjust her style when her high heeled shoes don’t quite match the pace of a Disney Park. Fun fact: This episode made me want to visit Disneyland solely for the purpose of how delicious the corn dogs from Corn Dog Palace looked. Spoiler Alert: I finally got to visit and that corn dog was truly incredible.
Boy Meets World
Season 3, Episode 21
Disney+
Cory and Topanga have been broken up for months, and Cory realizes that he wants to get back together. He follows Topanga, who is on a trip, down to Walt Disney World in order to win her back. With the help of his brother Eric and best friend Shawn, Cory embarks on a journey to win back his love. This episode is notable as it focuses much more on EPCOT than the Magic Kingdom.
The Middle
Season 5, Episodes 23 and 24
Prime Video
This two-part season finally features the Heck family taking a road trip down to Walt Disney World. Episode 23 ends with the family arriving to Orlando after a 20 hour eventful road trip, only to find out that they had actually won a trip to DisneyLAND, not Disney World. Episode 24 picks up with Guest Services trying to accommodate the family, though a series of mishaps make it difficult for the family to feel the Disney magic.
Black*ish
Season 3, Episode 1
Hulu
The season premiere features the Johnsons heading down to Walt Disney World, where Andre has planned the full VIP Experience for his family to counter the Disney on a budget he experienced as a kid. Unfortunately Rainbow, who is pregnant, is not allowed to ride any of the rides she wants (quick fact check: please see our blog about ACTUALLY being pregnant in WDW), though she ends up having fun with Ruby and Pops. For everyone else the trip starts off like a dream when the family gets the VIP treatment, allowing them to skip all of the lines. However the kids are shocked to find out that the tour isn’t for the duration for the trip, and they are forced to join the “Gen Pop,” leading to a situation that threatens to pull the family apart.
