Review: Topolino's Terrace at Disney's Riviera Resort
The weekend before Christmas, Megan and I traveled to Walt Disney World. While on the plane we decided to see if any last minute reservations had popped up. Not only did we snag a dinner reservation for Storybook Dining at Artist Point (review coming soon), we also scored a breakfast reservation for Topolino’s Terrace!
One of the main benefits of having breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace was that we got the opportunity to check out Disney’s Riviera Resort, the newest hotel on property. While we didn’t get to see any of the rooms, we were blown away by the beauty of the overall resort!
Upon entering the restaurant we were immediately distracted by the incredible selection of wines and cheese on display. The restaurant also serves an Italian dinner each night; this made us excited to come back and try it on our next trip!
The menu for Topolino’s features a variety to top-notch breakfast fare. Here is the Allergy-friendly version in the photo featured below!
Upon sitting down the most exciting discovery was the Topolino’s serves POG Juice! Yes! Everyone’s favorite tropical breakfast juice is available at Topolino’s. Additionally each table is served with a basket themed as a painter’s bucket filled with assorted breakfast pastries including croissants, muffins, and epi bread along with a variety of dipping sauces. There is also a gluten free option that includes donuts, a feature which made Megan nearly cry with joy.
For our main courses I ordered the Quiche Gruyere, and Megan ordered the Spiced Sausage Hash, which while wasn’t marked gluten friendly, was easily adapted. Both meals were delicious and hearty. Additionally Megan tried the Pomegranate Dip Cooler, a mocktail she found incredibly refreshing, while Allison stuck with one of her favorite brunch drinks, the Classic Bellini.
However, we both agree that one of the non-edible food highlights was the character element to this breakfast. We might be wrong, but we can’t think of another breakfast where you get to meet Minnie, Mickey, Donald AND Daisy all in one setting. Each character is themed to represent an area of the arts which they are “studying” along the Riviera. Mickey is a painter, Minnie is a writer, Donald is a sculptor, and Daisy is a ballerina. We had so much fun interacting with each of these characters and we loved their unique #lewks.
We wholly recommend trying to score a reservation at Topolino’s Terrace the next time you’re at Walt Disney World! The food is elevated from some of the standard breakfast fares on property, and the unique character dining experience makes for a memorable meal. Remember, don’t get discouraged if you can’t grab a reservation immediately. Keep checking back; you never know what might open up! Ciao!
