Review: Enchanted Rose Lounge at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort

The first movie I ever saw in theaters was Beauty and the Beast. Growing up I always lamented the lack of its presence in the parks; I have a very specific memory of being elated just to find one Beauty and the Beast sticker pack at France in EPCOT when I was around 8 years old.

However, in recent years there has been a dramatic increase in the presence of what I consider to be the best Disney film of all time in the parks. With the introduction of New Fantasyland I got to visit the Beast’s Castle as well as Belle’s Childhood home. I legitimately gasped the first time I experienced Belle’s Enchanted Tales and got to step into the Beast’s Library. What can I say; I’m obsessed!

However, when I found out that there would be a new Beauty and the Beast themed-lounge at my absolute favorite Walt Disney World Resort, The Grand Floridian, I was over the moon. I couldn’t wait until I got the chance to visit, which I did with Megan on our most recent trip to Orlando over the holidays.

The Enchanted Rose Lounge is located on the second floor of the Main Building at the Grand Floridian. It is comprised of a few separate rooms themed as the Beast’s library as well as an outside patio area. We sat in the lounge to the left of the entrance which featured bookshelves, a fireplace, and several objects that looked very familiar to us (Hint: There was a judgmental clock, a debonair candlestick, and a caring teapot). I couldn’t resist ordering the French 75 (my favorite cocktail), while Megan ordered the Garden Spritzer mocktail. We also tried the Artisanal Cheese Selection (which featured several pregnancy-friendly cheeses) as well as the Truffle Fries. Both offered fairly large servings and was perfect for a mid-afternoon snack.

Of course we couldn’t visit this spot without theming our outfits. My dress was inspired by Belle’s “Library Look” (a very underrated look if you ask me), and Megan’s outfit was an homage to everyone’s favorite feather duster, Babette!

If you have a free afternoon the next time you are near the Grand Floridian, we highly recommend the Enchanted Rose. The ambiance was calm and the food and drink delicious. While you could enjoy the music from the Grand Floridian lobby, the lounge is separated from the hustle and bustle of the main floor. The Enchanted Rose is a must-do for any Beauty and the Beast fans who want to experience a culinary cabaret. Bon Appétit!
