Magic Kingdom 50th Fireworks Dessert Party

When I booked the Magic Kingdom 50th Fireworks Dessert Pre-Party on the trip my husband and I recently took, truthfully, I booked it almost solely for the reserved viewing area. I thought it would be worth it to not have to fight for a spot in the crowd and make sure we had a nice view. I honestly did not look into the other details of this party (even with the $99 ticket price – gulp), and let me tell you I was delighted and blown away!

First of all, there are three current offerings for a Magic Kingdom 50th Fireworks Dessert party: a Pre-Party, Treats and Seats and an After-Party. Ticket prices range from $99-114, which seemed a little pricey until I learned all that was included! Like dining reservations, you’re able to make a party reservation 60 days in advance. I did find that the reservation window opened a bit earlier than my dining reservation window so I was glad I checked early.

We were able to get tickets for the Pre-Party, and with an 8 pm Enchantment showtime, we were told to check in at 6:30 pm at Tomorrowland Terrace. Once we checked in we were shown to a table and invited to explore the buffet. The buffet featured treats inspired by and featured throughout the Magic Kingdom, as well as an assortment of cheeses. The party also offers coffee, tea and several juice options, including POG juice!

Being gluten free, I generally assume that most dessert buffets might not have a lot for me, and I was okay with that. Remember, I was in it for the reserved viewing area. However, a Cast Member noted my allergy and asked if I would like a plate of gluten free desserts. I assumed it would be a small plate with a few GF brownies, which would be amazing! However, our server returned with a giant platter of gluten free goodness: cake loafs, cupcakes, cookies, caramel corn, chocolate covered strawberries, sour gummies – it was so. much. food. and such a delight as I’m not used to that many gluten free options when it comes to dessert!

All of that was incredible, but here’s where they really wowed me – there’s an OPEN BAR! In the Magic Kingdom! The bar features beer and wine (for guests 21+ of course), and we were able to enjoy enough beverages during our visit that made the price tag well worth it. Looking out over the Magic Kingdom with a glass of bubbly in each hand – dreams really do come true.

About 15 minutes before showtime, we walked over to our reserved viewing area – essentially the hub grass across from Tomorrowland Terrace. This is a standing viewing area, and although the Pre and After-Party guests shared it, the space did not feel too crowded at all.

All in all, I cannot recommend this experience highly enough! It was a truly delightful way to experience Enchantment for the first time!
