Five Reasons to Stay at Disney's Riviera Resort
When we were planning our most recent Disney trip, Allison’s list of possible places to stay had one property on it: Riviera Resort. One of Disney’s newest deluxe properties, the allure is easy to see. This European and art-inspired resort has incredible amenities and is definitely worth it for a treat-yourself vacation. Today, we’re sharing our top five reasons to stay at Disney’s Riviera Resort:
The rooms are amazing for a family or a group! We had a group of five, and while we’ve all squeezed into a value resort room before, Riviera offered a spacious and comfortable experience. The Deluxe Studio slept five adults easily, with two hidden bed options AND there were two showers. Very important for five women getting ready for a rope drop morning. The room also offered a small kitchenette and lovely balcony.
The dining options are incredible! We’ve already shared our love for Topolino’s Terrace, the table service restaurant on the top floor of Riviera, but the quick service food options are just as wonderful. La Petit Cafe, the coffee shop and bakery off the lobby, was perfect to grab a drink or a quick nom on your way to the Parks or to recharge in the afternoon. We also enjoyed an incredible meal at Bar Riva, the pool bar, and one of the best glasses of frosé I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot of frosé.
Access to the Skyliner – this one is honestly a game changer! Not only does Riviera have its own Disney buses to get you to the Parks, it’s a stop on the new Disney Skyliner. We used the Skyliner to get to both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot, and it could not have been easier or more enjoyable! If you’re looking for travel convenience, Riviera brings it.
There is gorgeous art wherever you look! One of our favorite things about Topolino’s was that the characters were themed in artist outfits, and the theme carries throughout the resort! You’ll find gorgeous Disney-inspired art in the hallways, rooms and even behind the beds! There are also some amazing historical photos of Walt and Lillian on their various travels. In La Boutique, the resort gift shop, also offers an Art on Demand kiosk, where you can order your favorite Disney art prints!
European vibes all day! Riviera is meant to feel like you are whisked away to Europe, and honestly you do feel like you’ve hopped the pond. The views are stunning and it’s a very peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the Parks.
