TWO fast: A Pixar Cars Party
If there is one thing my two-year-old son loves, it’s “cool cool cars.” How I have a two year old, I don’t know, but I knew he would love a Cars themed party with as much as he loves “Akeen” aka Lightning McQueen. After searching Pinterest, I decided I wanted to take inspiration from a town worth fixing, Radiator Springs, and include a few nods to Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park. Excited to share the details with you today!
Decor and Details
Signage: I found an amazing designer on Etsy, Seaway Studio, who had the entire package of Radiator Springs printables available. I printed at FedEx and they helped me on the sizing!
Traffic Cone Cups: found these for the kiddos on Amazon
Popcorn fuel buckets: another Amazon find
Balloon garland: I tried my hand at making my own for the first time using this kit I found on Etsy
Pit Stop sign: I thought this was a cute way to direct people to the restroom – art from Seaway Studio and lettering by my sister-in-law
Menu
Chili Cone Queso: it took a lot of testing, but I figured out how to make the bread cones served at the Cozy Cone in California using crescent roll dough. I decided, though, to only make a few instead of making one for everyone as they are a little time intensive. We ordered chili catered by McAlister’s – it was a great price and so easy!
Mack’s Mac & Cheese Bar: with all the toppings. Courtesy of Noodles & Co because gluten sensitive Mac, duh.
Fuelin’ Groovy Pomegranate Limeade: I made a non-alcoholic version and people could add vodka if they chose
Luigi’s Tires: Hostess mini donuts FTW
Cake: Sweet Inspirations Bakery – she does both regular and gluten free options, and people raved about both
Cookies: a connection of Allison’s makes these amazing cookies and can even do gluten free!
