Mulan Watch Party: Let's Get Down to Brunch

The live-action remake of Mulan is being released at long last! On Sept. 4, you’ll be able to download on Disney+ for a fee, and you’ll be able to watch and stream as many times as you’d like for as long as you have Disney+. We’ve put together a fun Mulan-themed brunch menu to power you up for the movie!

Starting with decor, we’ve created this printable menu for you to display! I used these pink paper placemats and cardstock I had on hand to bring Mulan vibes to the table and added these Magnolia flowers for an added touch.

Let’s dive into the menu!

A Brunch Worth Fighting For

Raspberry Magnolia Mocktail

  • 1/2 cup raspberry kombucha

  • 1/2 cup raspberry sparkling water

  • 2-3 frozen raspberries

I’ll Make A Man-go Smoothie Out of You

  • 2 cups frozen mango

  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 can coconut milk

  • 1/2 cup oat milk

  • 2 scoops collagen peptides

Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth. Add more oat milk as needed.

Follow Your Passion-fruit Tea

  • 2 passionfruit tea bags

  • 1 green tea bag

  • 2 cups boiling water

Place tea bags into boiling water and let steep for five minutes.

Mushu’s Muffins

I adapted a recipe from this one from Bakerita, but you could also use your favorite muffin mix and add in the extras!

  • 4 mashed bananas

  • 3 Tbsp melted coconut oil

  • 1/2 cup almond butter

  • 1/2 cup coconut flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp cardamom

  • 1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen for a more tart flavor, dried + sweetened for a sweeter flavor)

Preheat oven to 350. Add muffin liners to your muffin tin. Mix wet ingredients: bananas, coconut oil vanilla and almond butter and well blended. Add dry ingredients: coconut flour, baking soda, baking powder and spices. Once blended, fold in cranberries. Bake for 20-25 minutes until done!

Ping-cakes

Keep it simple and use your favorite pancake mix – this Birch Benders Paleo one is mine!

Chien Po’s Plate

We know Chien Po loves beef…pork…chicken so this classic breakfast combo of eggs, bacon and sausage is dedicated to him!
