Boo To You: Game Night
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is one of our favorite ticketed events at Walt Disney World. So even though it was canceled this year, we still wanted to bring some of the fun home with a Spooky Disney themed game night! Using MNSSHP and my Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Clue game as my inspiration, I put together a menu and prepared for some spooky fun! We invite you, if you dare, to step aboard because in today’s blog post you are the star. And this game night travels directly to . . . The Twilight Zone.
Hades Nachos are one of my favorite MNSSHP treats, and my husband loves anything that brings the heat so these were a no brainer. They are super easy to recreate:
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees
Spread blue corn chips across a lined sheet pan
Top with your favorite buffalo chicken dip
Sprinkle with cheddar cheese
Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly
Honestly, what’s a good game night without dips? I saw this cute way to bring some Night Before Christmas Magic to my favorite artichoke dip on Pinterest to make Jack Skellington’s Artichoke Dip!! Peel a few pieces of purple cabbage and flatten. Using a sharp knife, cut Jack’s spiral hill and place on top of any dip!
To me, chili = Halloween so I whipped up one of my favorite chili recipes from The Defined Dish, her Texas Brisket Chili from her new cookbook for our Chili-n Like A Villain. Perfectly spicy and villainous for our game night!
I desperately wanted to recreate the Party’s Treat Trails, but as a nod to those, I filled these individual plastic cauldrons with our favorite Halloween candy for our Candy Cauldrons.
Finally, with our board game, we had to have a nod to the Twilight Zone so I easily created these Twilight Z-Oreos by dipping Oreos into white chocolate and piping milk chocolate in a spiral on top.. It is very clear why I don’t have a career at The Ganachery from my cookie decorating skills, but you get the idea.
Which spooky idea will you incorporate into your next game night?
