The Disney is in the Details
It’s no secret that Allison and I spend a good amount of time planning a trip to Disney, and our outfits are an important part of that planning. With so many fun small shops and endless DisneyBound inspiration, there are so many ways to get creative. Like my girl Daisy Duck, I love a good accessory, and for me, one of my very favorite parts of planning a Disney outfit is adding a bit of extra Pixie Dust in the details. Our crew went all out for Dapper Day this year, and each put together an outfit inspired by a different Land in the Magic Kingdom. Here are a few details from my Dapper Day Fantasyland look:
Necklace: I absolutely love this Second Star to the Right necklace from Make It Minnie! It’s the perfect touch of subtle Disney. A gift from Allison, I’ve gotten so many compliments on it, both inside and outside the Parks.
Nails: True story – I started talking about what we should do for my Disney nails with my nail artist approximately six months before our trip. When we landed (pun intended) on our theme for Dapper Day, I knew I wanted to incorporate the Tea Cups. I simply shared my inspiration, and she created these beauties painted by hand. If you’re ever in Madison, Wi., You must check out Laquerus Nail Salon and ask for Madisen – she works real nail magic.
Arm Party: Allison and I share a real passion for a good arm party, and there ain’t no party like a Disney arm party. The Dapper Day bracelet stack comes from Kendra Scott and Mantra Band (you should definitely check out their Disney collection if you haven’t), but my friend Carin made my very favorite Disney bracelets for us.
Small World Pin: This adorable pin from Adventureland Ears Co. was the final touch to my Dapper Day look. As much as I wanted to buy this Loungefly backpack, I thought this 3D printed pin was the perfect way to add an additional dash of Small World to my look, and I paired it with a Wild Fable backpack from Target.
