Be Our Guest Bridal Shower

Allison, our bride-to-be, has a deep love for Beauty and the Beast. Please see: the time child Alison demanded to meet her new baby sister in her “Blue Dress Belle” costume and the time grown-up Allison asked her friends to be sheep so she could re-enact the scene of Belle reading at the fountain. So when deciding on a theme for her bridal shower, her maids of honor had an easy decision. Tie your napkin 'round your neck, cherie, and we’ll provide the details!

Decor

  • Centerpieces: One of Allison’s maids of honor, Emily, is a tablescaping WIZARD! We collected teacups, tea pots, candle sticks and clocks, and she worked her magic with red roses and book pages.

  • Photo backdrop: I ordered this boxwood kit from Amazon, along with this backdrop frame and balloon garland kit to craft our backdrop. I will say the balloons were a bit more challenging to blow up than anticipated so I would enlist help and/or a machine.

  • Bottle labels: Our friend Lauren from ElleeDees Designs makes these amazing custom alcohol labels that are the perfect touch on any event. Check out her incredible work!

Food

After all, miss, this is France!

  • Main menu: we used an amazing local catering company, Art of Entertaining, for our main courses. If you’re in St. Louis, you need to get the Spinach Artichoke Cheescake stat.

  • Desserts: Another STL must is Le Patissierie Chouquette for the most incredible macarons, along with homemade rice krispie treats, with yellow chocolate drizzle and candy roses. Now of course, we had to have the Grey Stuff, and we used the Disney Parks recipe. Can confirm, it’s delicious.
